Duck hunt
Do you know how do you feel after hitting a pheasant with your helmet while driving a motorbike at 130kmh?
I do.
Some details after the jump.
I was coming home after a good ride with Tommi and Giuseppe (both on Aprilia Tuono). I was really curious to see how much the new Termignoni exhaust system gave to my motorbike (more details in some other post... it will be in italian, I guess).
I was riding in Monte Morello, near Florence, and I was pretty fast; suddenly I saw this pheasant (I think it was a pheasant... I recognized it from the tail but - you know - it happened pretty fast , coming from my left and "flying across the street", from one side to the other. Fortunately.
I thought "not it'll go up...come on, bird, go up...up...UP!"... BAM!
I hit the pheasant with the left side of my helmet and I can assure you it was really hard. Fortunately I didn't lose the control of the bike; I closed the throttle and after 200m I stopped to take a breath. Finally.

Thank you all for being so worried about me. :)
btw: I didn't look at the pheasant after the hit. I didn't give a damn to the dinner: I was worried enough about me.
Maybe next time...
