Next week (October 1st) I'll be in New York.

My first time in the Big Apple, my 2nd time in the US after the month spenth in San Francisco in summer 2007 (here on flickr).

Do you have any suggestion? Places to visit, meeting/party/festival to attend, things to buy?

   I've been just 1.5 days in ny last autumn, but I can tell you a place where I had a very good vegan dinner at a reasonable price (~30$).
   It's in soho, between the sixth and prince st, http://www.souen.net/
   
   There were a lot of other restaurants in the area, so it's worth to explore for dinner.
   
   Don't mind the drug dealers at the corners of the street, they are harmless (in my experience, but I was coming from chicago so maybe I was just biased).

2. as you know, I don't really like anything that's expensive and doesn't bleed. :)
   btw, everytime I ask for suggestions for the US, you suggest me to go in some restaurant, as you did for San Francisco and Cioppino's. :P
   let's see if this time I'll follow your advice!

3. when you'll go in some place I know better (chitown and 'burbs) I might have some better advice than the few restaurants I remember :)
   
   anyhow if you think 30$ is expensive in ny you better prepare yourself for a mcdonalds diet or worst ...
