- A guy from UK bought his iPhone 3G and found in the device some preloaded snapshots of a cute girl. It turns out she is a girl who works in a chinese factory where the iPhone has been built!
- Multi-platform software to automagically download subtitles for movies and TV Shows: Subdownloader
- HTC will present the new Android phone on November 10th (the Android platform could be the biggest enemy of the iPhone)
- 8 morons in the world bought the "I am Rich" application for the iPhone. Price? 999 USD! Features? it lets you show how rich you are. and moron. Here a guided tour.
- A BSOD occurred during the Olympics Opening Ceremony. BSOD stays for Windows Blue Screen of Death.
- The Chainsaw Maid ! Warning: ultra-gore!
- Someone managed to crack the high security (and expensive) Medeco locks with a credit card.
- A comparison between the iPhone commercial (where they say it is the superfast device) and the real world performance. Funny.
- A freestyle show involving a Subaru rally car and a cross motorbike.
- Who is for the traction control on the MotoGP bikes? Kocinski maybe.
- The largest LEGO set ever created: the Taj Mahal.
- Women's Olympic Fencing (Vezzali included! :) by the Big Picture.
- The story of Anako, the fish who lived to 226 (years!!!!!)
- Wired managed to get a closer look to the Network Operation Center at Defcon
- Open Source (LGPL and Creative Commons license) kit for a DIY multitouch device: the kit (both hardware and software) is described in the 'download' page.
- Emily isn't real: amazing animation in computer graphics
- Lawrence Lessig talks the coming i-Patriot Act
- The new RFID-enabled "fakeproof" passports are going to fail (already cracked)
- A simil-SWAT Team storms into an house, realizes that it's the wrong address and leave a message on the fridge using magnetic letters
- Linux.com reviews two of the best desktop search applications for Linux: Beagle and Tracker. Part 1 and 2.
- Someone talks about the poor usability of free software, why we get that and how to solve this nightmare issue :)
